Cantonese Class for Chinese Speaking Students 2025/26

We are organizing a Cantonese Class for Chinese speaking students starting from the end of August. This is the perfect chance for you to learn some survival phrases and local expressions with other hallmates in an interactive and fun way.

Practical Cantonese Course 2025/26

Organizers	Graduate School and Postgraduate Halls General Office
Target students	Full-time CUHK MPhil and PhD students
Contents	Cantonese pronunciation and expressions in daily life
Teacher	Instructor from CUSCS
Medium of teaching	Cantonese and Putonghua
Quota	30 per class (3 classes in total)
Venue	On campus (Successful enrollees will be informed of classroom number later)
Fees	HK$640 for deposit (Student who attends four lessons or more can have the refund of the deposit after the course).
Schedule – Class A	26/08, 02/09, 09/09, 16/09, 23/09 18:30 – 20:30	Every Tuesday, 5 sessions,
Schedule – Class B	28/08, 04/09, 11/09, 18/09, 25/09 18:30 – 20:30	Every Thursday, 5 sessions
Schedule – Class C	29/08, 05/09, 12/09, 19/09, 26/09 18:30 – 20:30	Every Friday, 5 sessions
Enrolment method	Enrolment time: 12 August, 10:00am – 18 August Please enroll and pay the deposit (no change) in person at the General Office of PGH 1, PGH 3 or PGH 4. Enrolment is limited to one Class only, first-come-first-served.
